Who is this person?

Yes, that's me. I went to the hair salon on Saturday and since she had extra time my stylist asked if she should straighten it just for fun. My hair has been straight a total of three days in my 26 years of life, so I thought it might be fun. After freaking myself out in the mirror a few times, I got used to it and I really liked it! My Dad kept asking "Where's Bethany?" but everyone else thought it looked good. Danny liked it after getting over the initial shock, although his first question when he saw me was "Did it hurt?" Such a boy. No, Danny, does it hurt when you wash your hair? He was glad to see it back to curly ("That's so amazing it just goes back to normal with water!") the next day.

3 down, 1 to go!

The Campbell Church youth group hosted a shower for us Friday night, my third of four. We have been so blessed and truly showered with love and gifts! The teens threw a great party, complete the with the Oswald's famous chocolate fountain, yumm. After opening some great gifts, Danny and I both shared a bit about our dating background and what led us to the decision to marry each other. We both talked about how we had decided a long time ago what we wanted in a spouse so that when we met we knew we were right for each other. We had fun sharing and they seemed to enjoy hearing stories about our first date, and the first time we said "I love you." (I said it first, Danny panicked but made up for it later.) We love these kids (and Walter and Amy) so much and hope that we have been an example for them as they start to look for their perfect match, you know, in 10 years.

Engagement Photos

Thanks to our friend and photographer, Steve Babuljak, we have some great engagement photos taken at the Japanese Garden in Saratoga. We plan to take pictures in the garden with the bridal party on our wedding day, so this was a great trial run. The gardens were beautiful, but we found that it's hard to get a good picture of your face when the sun is shining on you! Thanks to Steve and my parents for holding up sun shades and reflectors so we could great pictures!
